Evie faced third generation wrestler Tessa Blanchard at Shine 26. Tessa turned her back to Evie after a shoving match, allowing Evie to attempt a quick win with two roll-ups and a backslide. Tessa quickly took control with a neckbreaker.

Evie retook control monkey flipping Tessa out of the corner, followed with a perfectly executed rolling neck snap. She attempted a jackknife pin but Tessa kicked out. Evie kept Tessa grounded with a snap-of-a-kick to the back. Tessa evaded Evie's TTYL effort, rolling to the floor to regroup. Evie attempted a PK, however Tessa caught and drove her face first to the apron.

Tessa stood over Evie and twerked before pounding her head into the stairs twice. Back in the ring, Tessa delivered an elbow drop to Evie's throat. Evie flipped over Tessa as she charged her in the corner and cradled her for a pin attempt. Tessa kicked out forcefully sending Evie for a ride. Tessa delivered a big kick to Evie's face, attempting to out-kick The Captain of Team Kick.

Evie drew momentum from the crowd's Evie chant -- even as Tessa mocked it -- fighting her way out of a chinlock. She mounted a comeback with a clothesline and two dropkicks. Evie leapt off the top rope. Tessa tried to evade, however Evie improvised chop blocking her to the mat. Evie charged to strike her cornered opponent with the Yakuza kick but Tessa moved out of the way.

Tessa briefly got control after a springboard bulldog. But Evie came back with a drop toe hold as Tessa charged her, sending Tessa into the second turnbuckle. The crowd rallied alongside Evie and she successfully grounded Tessa with the charging Yakuza kick. This time Tessa couldn't evade TTYL. Evie struck her opponent down to score the pinfall victory.
