October 9, 2019. NXT. The Captain of Team Kick sought to continue her momentum facing another rival from the past in Bianca Belair. The EST had defeated Dakota Kai in their TakeOver: Chicago II Fall-Out match back in June 2018. Our Captain hoped this time for a different outcome. Prior to the match, Dakota's best friend Tegan Nox offered moral support as Kai readied herself. They did their trademark handshake! Kai would soon make her way to the ring, cheered on by some of the Full Sail crowd. Belair had a following herself, creating a split atmosphere. Kai was not fazed.

Belair overpowered Kai while showboating with her catchphrase and pose in the opening moments, receiving a well-deserved slap to the chest from Our Captain for it. Belair caught Kai on her shoulder off a charge, arrogantly doing squats to her. Kai slipped off Belair to avoid the intended bodyslam that followed. Dakota pulled Belair facedown to the canvas by her legs then shoved some attitude back in her face, mocking The EST's catchphrase and pose. Some will argue I'm just biased, however I dare say Our Captain does it better than Belair.

The EST caught Kai in a waistlock. Kai hipped her way free, running the ropes and coming back at the seated Belair with a running PK followed by a standing Coup-de-Kai. The wind was driven out of Belair as she rolled to the floor. Kai didn't give her any respite, striking her with another running PK, this time from the apron. The Captain! Kai rolled Belair in for a pin but only got one. Kai came at Belair in the corner, flung over The EST, rib cage first into the top turnbuckle.

Belair powerfully worked over Kai for a bit, including another rep of squats to her followed this time by the bodyslam. Bianca went for a cocky pin, putting one foot on Kai who kicked out before the referee could even get down to start a count. The EST didn't care, taking a moment to taunt Kai. Dakota would catch The ArrogantEST with an inside cradle for two. Kai's momentum was spurned by a tilt-a-whirl gutbuster from The EST. Bianca went for another cover, this time hooking the legs. Kai kicked out at two. The action continued.

Kai bridged out of a submission hold for a two count. Dakota kept her momentum, drop toe holding a charging Belair into the middle turnbuckle. The Scorpion Kick caught Belair as she wobbled to her feet. Two clotheslines. A dropkick. The Captain was on fire. Belair slumped over the ropes where Kai slipped past her to the apron. Bianca turned around getting clocked in the face with a forearm smash. Kai dropped to the floor and grabbed Bianca's legs. The EST was tripped facedown to the canvas, spun around by Kai and struck with a pump kick.

The action returned to the ring where Kai blocked a shot before tripping Belair to the canvas with a kick to her leg. Dakota sliced Belair across the back with an ax kick. The Kaio-Kick connected. But on the pin attempt Kai only got two. Dakota charged at Belair, using her shoulders as a vault to double knees The EST in the chest. Kai went for another cover, again just getting two. Belair forced Kai to the corner as Dakota picked her up. Kai rolled over Bianca as she charged at her, catching her with a crucifix style pin for two.

Belair caught Kai's pump kick, scooping her up in double chicken wing position and dropping her front to canvas. Bianca followed with a running shooting star press into a pin. But Kai was still in it, kicking out firmly at two. The frustrated EST went for a second cover. Kai kicked out again. Dakota was lifted up for a powerbomb, countering with a sunset flip pin for two. Kai came close to victory again with a rolling crucifix pin.

The battle continued as Our Captain continued to fight her heart out as always. Win or loss she would have no reason to feel shame. So The Captain fought on, ducking a clothesline, shooting back with a pump kick. Bianca fired back with a forearm smash. Kai bounced off the ropes for another pump kick, however this time Belair caught her leg. Bianca lifted Dakota up over her shoulders, planting her with The KOD to score the pinfall victory.
