February 28, 2026. MCM Elegante Grand Ballroom. Beaumont, Texas. Hurricane Pro Wrestling. A tournament to crown the next Hurricane Pro Tag Team Champions began. Nixon Newell & Miranda Alize came together as Violent Romance to battle Alliance of Violence in first round action. Alliance is a team comprised of up-and-coming hard-hitting bruisers Tyson Rage & Deuce Dinero.

From the opening bell, Rage and Dinero had the power edge, even if their opponents were more experienced. Early on, Newell & Alize utilized double team sequences to try and weaken their more powerful opponents. But Nixon soon found herself in peril for a lengthy time, lifted into the air nearly hitting the ceiling of the Ballroom as she was tossed all the way across the ring by Dinero. TWICE. And a third time by both Rage and Dinero.

Nixon made the desperation tag to Alize who sent Dinero to the floor then struck Rage with a charging murderous knee strike followed by a cutter. Alize covered Rage, getting only two thanks to Dinero making the save. Nixon tagged in, still on the ring apron waffling the charging Rage with the Nixongiri. Miranda tripped Rage as he staggered in her direction. Newell finished the sequence with a running double stomp.

Dinero pulled Alize to the floor as Nixon and Miranda ran the ropes for a double team. Newell had a noticeable limp in her steps, having come down nasty on that stomp. The limp and distraction of Dinero tossing Alize into the ring post, followed by a knockout strike from Rage, kept Newell down for the three count, advancing Alliance of Violence to the semi-final round.
