Tegan Nox would return from her excursion to NXT UK and reunite with best friends Dakota Kai and Candice LeRae. Nox was ready to make her official NXT television debut. In the meantime, she continued to work house show matches, often teaming up with Dakota to face Shayna Baszler's henchwomen Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.

To backtrack ever so slightly... August 10th 2019. Tegan was present at NXT TakeOver: Toronto to support Candice. Tenacious C as she was nicknamed at the time was making her TakeOver match debut against friend turned rival Io Shirai.

The on hand support for her besties continued. Nox happily watched on as Dakota competed in her first televised match since her own ACL injury on the September 25th 2019 episode of NXT. She would appear on television at her side backstage prior to Kai's match against Bianca Belair on the October 9th 2019 episode of NXT.

Earlier in the day on October 9th 2019, Tegan filmed an interview for the WWE Performance Center digital short "F is For Friends" centered around the Dakota, Tegan and Candice friendship. Nox explained the significance of some of her tattoos which represented her closest friends including both Dakota and Candice.

A very special, emotional moment would occur the Saturday before Nox was scheduled to make her NXT TV debut. She would team up with Candice and Dakota for a six woman tag team match defeating Shayna Baszler, Duke and Shafir at the October 12th 2019 NXT house show in West Palm Beach, Florida.
