Raquel Gonzalez had been a thorn in Tegan Nox's side costing her two victories against Dakota Kai. Nox had gotten some poetic revenge, chokeslamming Raquel through a table during the previous week's TakeOver Tampa #1 Contender Ladder Match. Now on the April 15th 2020 episode of NXT, Nox hoped to foil Raquel's first televised in-ring action of 2020 with a defeat. Dakota Kai accompanied her jacked six foot understudy to the ring, rallying her on as she crushed Nox's every attempt at offense with brute force.

Big Mami Cool as Raquel was nicknamed had sprawled Nox over the top rope in the corner. The referee's back was turned. Dakota Kai couldn't resist charging across the ring apron and striking her former friend with a Kaio-Kick. Raquel went for a pin but Nox kicked out at two. Kai's interference brought out the ballsy badass Shotzi Blackheart who had issues with Raquel for playing a part in her not winning the TakeOver Tampa Last Chance Gauntlet Match. Shotzi cracked her horned helmet across Kai's back taking her out of play.

Raquel lifted Shotzi up by her skull, reprimanding her for getting involved. Nox took advantage of the moment, rolling Gonzalez up to score the pinfall victory. Tegan swiftly exited the ring, joining her benefactor on the stage to celebrate. Dakota and Raquel seethed in the ring. The two duos taunted each other from afar itching for more fight. Nox's war with Dakota was far from over, however she had found an ally in Shotzi. It was a union of shiny wizards and balls.

The next week on the April 22nd 2020 episode of NXT, Kai and Raquel Gonzalez hoped to quickly end this new union when they clashed in a tag team match. Raquel started the match for her team, charging at Nox with a big boot. Tegan ducked, trying to roll-up Raquel for a quick pin. Raquel put a stop to that, effortlessly smashing Nox back-of-skull-first to the canvas.

Nox evaded a stomp, rolling away and to her feet only to be met by an Irish whip from Big Mami Cool. But it was Nox who fired off the offense, staggering Raquel with a kick to the knee. In the moment Nox hit the ropes on the whip, Shotzi blind tagged in. Knee strike. Rolling elbow. Feint crescent kick. Raquel was wobbly. Shotzi went for a springboard hurricanrana but Raquel wouldn't go. Shotzi slipped off powerbomb position, a dropkick staggering Raquel over to the opposite corner. Dakota tagged in, getting mauled by Shotzi and briefly by Tegan's Cannonboar.

Kai rolled to the outside. Raquel came at Shotzi and Nox who grabbed the middle rope in unison, causing her to topple to the floor. Nox launched Shotzi to the top rope so Blackheart could take out both opponents on the floor with a crossbody. Shotzi's momentum halted when Raquel chop blocked her from the apron to the floor. Raquel launched Kai up over her head to the apron so she could whack Shotzi with a superkick. Back in the ring, Raquel dropped Shotzi across the top rope in the corner so Kai could strike her with a pump kick from the apron.

Shotzi evaded the Kaio-Kick and sent Kai flying to the corner with an enzuigiri. Tegan got the tag as did Raquel. Nox ducked a Raquel clothesline, paying a visit to the corner to strike Kai from apron to floor. Tegan hit Raquel with some nasty open handed slaps and forearms. She added in a couple clotheslines. The impact rocked Raquel but she wouldn't go down. Nox continued her offense, stomping Raquel's foot followed by an uppercut and lastly a headbutt that staggered both. Nox wanted to whip Raquel to the corner but Gonzalez instead did so to Tegan.

Nox evaded a splash in the corner, firing back with a charging uppercut and gamengiri. Tegan made her climb to the top rope, kicking Kai to the floor as she tried to stop her ascent. Raquel caught Tegan as Nox flew from the top rope with a crossbody, tossing her to the canvas with a fallaway slam. Fortunately for Nox, the impact sent her flying across the ring to her corner so she could tag Shotzi. Blackheart came off the top rope, taking Raquel down with a seated senton for a two count on the pin attempt.

Tegan cut off Kai's attack on Shotzi, tossing her to the floor. But Kai outsmarted Nox by grabbing her legs and pulling her to the canvas. Dakota spun Nox around, her head dangling over the side of the ring apron, the recipient of a pump kick. Back in the ring, Raquel reversed Shotzi's wheelbarrow bulldog into the Chingona Bomb to score the pinfall victory for Kai and her. Tegan and Shotzi lost the match, however displayed great teamwork. There was a promising tag team in the making if they would decide to pursue that route.
