Tegan Nox sought rebound from her recent tag team loss with singles action against Indi Hartwell on NXT May 13, 2020. The self-proclaimed Impressive Aussie was making her NXT TV singles match debut, coming off being massacred by Shayna Baszler on Monday Night RAW. Hartwell was no rookie having competed on the Australian independent scene since 2017. Indi used her taller prowess at the start to push Nox off a lockup, brashly proclaiming Tegan is not impressive. Nox chuckled it off but paid for that with Indi relentlessly working her over for a bit after a pull of the hair.

Hartwell took it to Nox with stomps and kicks in the corner. Tegan fought back with a nasty kick but her momentum was halted by a sidewalk slam. Things turned around for Tegan when she cut off Hartwell's corner charge with an elbow. Nox pulled the middle rope down as Indi came at her again, sending Hartwell to the apron. Indi hung on and shoulder thrust Nox as she came at her. Indi springboarded into the ring at Nox which was quite impress, however more so was Tegan catching Hartwell with a chokeslam.

Nox gave Indi a couple hard chops to the chest. The running uppercut in the corner followed by a gamengiri. The Tegan trip slumped Indi up for Cannonboar. Nox followed with a crossbody from the top but didn't go for a pin because that would not have been as impressive. So, Hartwell got smacked with The Shiniest Wizard. Nox then covered her for the three count and victory. Before Tegan took her leave, she gave a nod of respect to her opponent who clearly impressed her. I'd say Hartwell earned herself a chicken finger dinner.
